A note on the name

Other quantum cat games exist, including one from the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. This project is unaffiliated with any of them. It carries the subtitle Schrödinger's Playground to keep the two apart, and it aims at something different: a narrative chapter-by-chapter course in quantum foundations rather than a set of physics mini-games.

Method

Every mechanic was checked against the misconception it could create, and the wording of each journal page was chosen to stay accurate at three levels of depth. The list of claims the game refuses to make is on the science page.

Thanks

To everyone who has ever tried to explain quantum mechanics without lying, and to cats, for demonstrating unpredictable behaviour free of charge.
